Joe Budden released from Def Jam...FINALLY

I have been a Joe Budden fan from day 1. I'm talking WAY back. Not just because we're from the same state (JERSEY STAND UP) but mainly because he was a great artist. Lyrically....he's serious. He really inspired me as an artist. So when Jay-Z was appointed president, I figured the "Best Rapper Alive" (of that time that is LOL) would of gotten together with Regular Joe and gave him the proper respect he needed. WRONG!! He got put on the shelves and now...he's free to do what he wants. With the release of Mood Muzik Pt 3 on the verge of being released, I really feel that hip-hop...not just Joey...is going to benefit from this. Hip-Hop is coming back y'all.

Check out the interview over at XXL.

I intentionally did not release any music for two years. It’s not because I’m lazy, it’s not because I can’t record, it’s not because I didn’t have anything to say. It’s not because I didn’t want to rap. But it would be pointless. I’d be doing it in vein. Why, so the fans can get mad at me again and say what the fuck is up with Joe Budden? He sparks the match and doesn’t do anything? Nope. Enough of that.

Don't ask how I got it...I'm that dude. Y'all know that. This is Lil Wayne's performance at the BET awards UNCUT and RAW. If you've heard the actual song...you'll notice that THIS version is much better. I heard it on Drama's radio show on Hot 107.9 here in Atlanta last night. SUCKED to me...not as much emotions as shown here. Check it out.

Nas's next album will be titled "Nigga"

Ok. As a lyricist, I look at the opportunity for Nas to create an album entitled "Nigga" as a chance for him to make a creative spin off of the word. I don't expect Nas to take this album and flood it with bullshit like murder, death, kill. He's smarter and has matured beyond that. So I support the dude. I'm excited that we are approaching this era. Jay-Z is dropping "American Gangster" which is said to be the "Reasonable Doubt" Jay-Z we all grew to love....Common winning "Lyricist of the Year"...Kanye overselling 50 with "Graduation". Now all we have to do is knock Souljah Boy off of his #1 spot in the country and we can actually say that hip-hop is approaching another golden year.

NOW, the anger: IF FRUSTRATES ME when news outlets like Fox take a window of a few lines and make that the center of a man's career. Watch the video below...they take a few lyrics of just a few songs Nas has and uses it against him. NOW remember, the people and demographic that watch this channel do not listen to Nas on the regular so they take what they hear in this 5 minutes block and say, "Oh my goodness...he's so violent! Just another thug!" When we all know Nas is one of the few lyrical emcees we have in hip-hop. It also frustrates me because they didn't pick people that would hold their "people" down. Chuck (founder of allhiphop.com) should of stood up and spoke up a little more in my opinion.

On Friday night at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, Nas announced the title of his next album: He said it will be called Nigga and released in December. A source close to the project confirmed the name on Saturday.

Nas has said he’d planned to use that title for his last LP before he changed it to Hip-Hop Is Dead. If the December date holds firm, Nas will have a very busy winter. On November 6 he’s releasing his Greatest Hits LP. A video for one of the two new songs on the project, “Surviving the Times,” will be shot soon. Last week, super producer Jermaine Dupri — who has already completed tracks for Jay-Z’s American Gangster — told MTV News he would love to be involved in Nas’ upcoming new LP.

Nas headlined the last stop of the Sneaker Pimps Tour on Friday, where newcomers such as Mista Mal as well as legends EPMD and Slick Rick had sets. Even Jeru Da Damaja showed up and rocked the mic.

Nas kept fans antsy by not going on until well after 1 a.m., but they left visibly — and audibly — pleased.

He opened with “Hip-Hop Is Dead,” then went into his catalog for records such as “One Love” and “Hate Me Now.” God’s Son ended with “Made You Look,” during which he surprised the fans by jumping into the crowd. Once among the people, he began jumping up and down and inciting the people to jump with him. One of Nas’ security guards dove into the audience after him, pulling him back to the stage, where he stood none the worse for wear.

“He touched my hand and gave me positive energy,” one woman said as the house lights came on.

Besides phat rhymes, spectators saw some of the most exclusive kicks you can hope to get, as sneakers from all over the world were displayed. There was also a pit for professional skaters who sailed up and down ramps. Still, most of the skaters had to put their boards down when the acts came on, especially Nas.

Jay-Z - Blue Magic ft. Pharell

What more can I say? LOL. Great video...I can't wait until the album releases. In a few interviews, he says that he recorded the album in three weeks and reviewers say that it's the "Reasonable Doubt" Jay-Z that we all grew to love. I have a good feeling about this next album. It's been inspiring me to write hot shit recently.

Kim's Corner - Just Friends…Do platonic relationships still exist?

He's not your boyfriend, just the person you call whenever you have a problem, the friend you hang out with all the time, and ring tone that brings joy to your heart. But your just friends? Don't play yourself, this is your other man and you know it! Your man hates him and you swear he is straight tripping! But is he? Should he not envy the man that occupies your time, and does 65% of what HE does for you? All it takes is that one argument, for you to let home boy round it up to the full 100%.

My dear readers put yourself in the shoes of your loved one and see the comparison. Platonic relationships do not exist and we know it. What they are considered now is Temporary Friendships, and here is why.

A Temporary Friendship is when you have your friend of the opposite sex that you talk to frequently. The attraction is undeniable, but no one has made that leap. The leap can happen during a time of weakness and vulnerability. We all know that we can have friends of the opposite sex, but we also know that if we asked them for one night of the horizontal polka, that rejection isn't going to happen.

Now I know some of you don't believe what I'm saying because you have that one friend that you would never screw. Think though, is that friend possibly married, dating your best friend, your cousin, or gay? If you answered yes to any of those possibilities, than the reason you won't screw them is because you can't, but if they didn't meet those characteristics then you probably would, right? If you have a special someone but also have that sexy friend you must keep distance, take this advice:

1) Don't relay any information to that friend about issues in your own relationship, turn to God, to Dr. Phil, Turn to me, just not to that friend. They may use that weak moment to dog out your loved one and dive in for that vulnerable moment.

2) Make sure your companion knows their place in your life. Reassurance never hurts anyone. Let them know that they are very important to you and that it doesn't matter what anyone else says or does, they are one in a million (oh yeah, you have to mean it!)

3) If you see the friendship is causing issues with your mate, try introducing the two. That is, if your 100% that there is no attraction. If there is, than that will cause a fire and you need to weigh your options. Whether you like it or not, you can't have both in your life.

The answer to this problem is basic common sense. You know where each relationship stands, so be honest with everyone involved because it will eventually become obvious. Also, be considerate of the feelings of those involved at all times; don't burn bridges, just separate where people stand in your life.

Lupe Fiasco - Dumb It Down (Video)

Lupe has done it again. I posted the MP3 of the song a while back (Click here to check it out) but now, the Fiasco guy has done a video...low budget...but a video. In Lupe's message board someone made a good point by saying that the video should of highlighted what he was talking about to show emphasis on the main point of the song. But...the song is still hot.
